the best man asked Ralph.
it was left at home, thirty minutes away, and Ralph was set for groom's portraits in fifteen minutes. That's when my husband stepped in and offered to drive to their home, get the jacket, and bring it back to the wedding venue. We swapped some things in the timeline and got everything done just in time for the ceremony.
I live and breathe for this career. My purpose in life is to create beautiful imagery of true love stories. This is so much more than a job to me, this is my lifeblood, my calling, my passion. Which means, you are my priority. There is intention behind every single thing I do in my business, and that intention is to give you the best possible experience from start to finish.
You're engaged! Congratulations! As soon as you've finalized your booking, you'll receive a 100-page welcome guide. From your engagement session to your send-off, everything is lined out for you. All you have to do is fill in the blanks. From the very beginning, I'm here to guide you through this process as an expert and a friend to ensure you focus on your love for each other rather than what time dinner should be served.
It's finally here! You get to marry the love of your life and finally start your lives together. Everything we've discussed about your wedding has been archived and planned for. You've followed the lists, we've created a seamless timeline, and you're ready to walk down the aisle. I come prepared with just about everything you could ever need, including a sewing kit and bobby pins. As far as those flatlays go, I have everything from vintage stamps to pre-addressed envelopes. The heat, hard work, and cranky kids are nothing I shy away from as I work to ensure your day glides along as gracefully as you do.
You finally did it! You've tied the knot and can't stop looking at the rings that adorn your hand. The second best part of being newly married is that you'll receive a sneak peek of your gallery within 24 hours of your first kiss. Why? This is perhaps the most purpose-driven part of my business. You're ready to announce to the world that you got married! You have your post planned out and an iPhone picture from your aunt. Or, you have 10+ professional, high-resolution photos from your photographer to choose from to announce the news online.
I'm here every step of the way. I've had phone calls at 10pm on a Thursday night to make adjustments and calm nerves. I'm here to fill the space you're unsure of. Your timeline isn't final until you say it is, even if its the night before. Every piece of information I've learned along this journey of documenting love stories is yours to have if you need it. From the flower petals tossed before you to the shine of your ring, every detail is considered.
You walk down the aisle to see that sweet soul you get to say "I do" to. You glance over to see your photographer standing there capturing this moment that is so monumentally significant, yet fleeting. You trust that she is capturing every step you take and every thought going through your soulmate's mind as you walk down the aisle. You imagine that the first kiss looked as amazing as it felt, and you see, just moments later that it was exactly the way you pictured it.
I love to freely share my work! Your full online gallery will be delivered within four weeks of your wedding with over 400 photos, all high-resolution, with full printing rights. If you've ordered an album, that may take a bit longer due to recent supply chain issues, but once it arrives, you'll never stop showing it off.
I'm a hands-on wedding photographer. I stop at nothing to ensure your day is just that: YOUR day. I capture the most authentic love stories with visceral joyfulness. If we're a great fit for each other, you can anticipate an experience that builds trust, comfort, and ease in every aspect of your wedding. With this in-depth approach, I accept a limited number of couples per year to serve. Please inquire for availability and rates.
"Kensey is a master of making people feel comfortable in front of the camera. There wasn't a moment I ever felt awkward with her."
I hear this time and time again from my couples. The jokes won't win any awards, but they will make you laugh. You'll also be a pro at posing by the time we're finished. The prompts will provide memories for a lifetime; the "Tipsy Walk" is a crowd favorite!
Briana's laughter was a sweet reminder of why Thadius was marrying her. He looked at her with deep love, and in that moment, nothing else mattered.
Truth is, posing is a little different for everyone. It's an art finding the moment a couple gives into each other, finds their comfort, and feels that intense love for each other in front of a camera. It's a delicate balance of laughter, touch, and movement to tap into that one little moment your emotion is purest.
Getting those genuine, candid moments doesn't just happen by hitting the shutter. There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes, including pretty stellar jokes I learned from a middle school boy at church camp.
"Choosing Kensey to be our photographer for our wedding and engagement photos, was the best wedding decision we made! When planning for our wedding, we made a decision that photos were going to be our top priority since they last a lifetime and beyond. Kensey’s passion and dedication for making your wedding vision come to life is absolutely incredible. The hardest part of having Kensey has our photographer is choosing which photos to have printed for our walls and family because ALL of them are breathtaking!! If this hasn’t convinced you to choose Kensey as your wedding photographer, here are a few more reasons:
1) you aren’t only getting a photographer, you are getting a friend who will bring you water and help fan you if you choose to have a July wedding in Texas and need some photos outside
2) she is always happy to answer your questions and has the most helpful lists to help make sure you have everything ready for the big day and don’t feel lost and
3) she gets you sneak peak photos before you even leave your wedding, which was such a sweet moment to sit down and view them with my husband and family while all our guests were dancing.
My family was blown away by how good Kensey was and kept asking me how I found her. It was definitely a blessing that I will be thankful for for a lifetime!"

We were getting ready for the big moment, all eyes on April walking down the aisle to her soon-to-be husband. Her veil was slipping out of her hair. I grabbed my "fix it" bag and dug through all of the just-in-case items to find the hairspray, teasing comb, and bobby pins. The veil was fixed within three minutes and didn't budge after that. Kensey, RN and Cosmetologist to the rescue!
The groom's jacket button popped off just before the first look. I thought they were pinning on the boutonnière, so I hopped over to get some photos of the moment, but then I realized they were safety pinning his jacket! He was about to get married and there was no way I would allow this groom to have a safety pinned jacket for his wedding vows. I whipped out the sewing kit from my bag, handed it to my husband, and he sewed that little guy back on there just in time.
"Hey, so sorry to text so late, but can we talk this weekend about the timeline" read the text on my phone at 10pm. "Of course! Only, I'll be out of pocket for the weekend. I can talk now if you're up for it" I responded. By 11:30, the timeline was locked in and invitations were ordered. I mean it when I say that I'm here for you any time, day or night.
"You're an RN, right," the bride's mom asked. "Sure am, what's up," I asked. Her granddaughter has a chronic medical condition and has a feeding tube. Another family member was trying to give her some medication through the tube and it wasn't going too well. I asked the bride and the girl's mother if I could take a look. We got her medication down and I cleaned up her dress before proceeding with getting ready photos. Thankfully, I have yet to need any more nursing skills while working a wedding, but you can count on me to help in whatever way that I can.
