Sarah walked up in a rush. It was a windy day (it's usually windy in West Texas), and her hair had a mind of its own. Her dress was gorgeous, but she had a last minute realization that it was a little too low cut for her taste. Her best friend walked with her, holding a bag full of graduation regalia, flip flops, and makeup. I could see she was a little flustered and nervous, so I gave her a few minutes of our included "chill time" to take a deep breath and give her a little pep talk. We also grabbed my little sewing kit (yeah, I'm a mom and you can thank me later!) to fix the little dress situation right up. We realized twenty minutes in that Sarah had left her cap and tassel at home. I grabbed the one I carry in my car for her to use. Then, the worst part happened... we were under an arch on campus and a bird flew over and did its business, conveniently landing in Sarah's hair. Cool cool, not ideal, but we're dealing. So I grabbed a tissue and wet wipe from my bag and took care of it while her friend helped me hold the safe hair away.
Basically, I come prepared for pretty much anything. If something goes not according to plan, I'm ready to fix it. I'm your safety-pinning, pep-talking, lint-rolling, bird poo cleaning hype girl and I promise to not only give you a memorable and fun experience (hopefully sans bird poo), but also an amazing photo gallery to let Mom hang on all of her walls until you have kids on your own. I can't promise she'll take em down though.
