Does anyone know why it’s called a “Bucket List”? Please share if you do.

Since going full-time in photography at the end of September of this year, I’ve realized I’m in a crazy good position to travel the world! I just get hired by a couple in New Zealand for a wedding and goooo! Yeah, right, I wish it was that simple. I doubt there is a single person in that wonderland that knows I even exist. I’ll still keep my hopes high and share what exactly is on that bucket list of mine.

Travel:

1/ New Zealand – OMGSH I cannot wait to go there. I already have a bag packed for whoever is ready to hire me!

2/ Canda – umm hello nicest people ever! Seriously, it’s not just a rumor. I’ve been to Cancun twice, and each time, I met a group of Canadians that I absolutely adored. Maybe the cold just runs the rude right out of people? Let me know if that’s ever a social experiment. It’s also gorgeous from what I can tell from over here in Texas.

3/ Any coast – yeah, I know, beach weddings are a little early 2000s, but I still love them and who can say no to an ocean view?

4/ Yosemite – PLEASE. This one isn’t even that far. I’m literally begging to shoot a wedding here.

5/ Ireland – no words needed. I just want to go there and drink at a pub.

6/ Australia – my parents have been there for mission work and have a good friend there. They’ve never taken me though (rude, I know). I want to bask in the sun there but also stay very far away from those massive spiders.

7/ Terilingua – I’ve been, just haven’t taken my camera before. My stepdad took me on a week-long trip on his motorcycle there and to Big Bend. Loads of fun, but I need to take photos there next time I go.

Experience:

1/ Hike to a mountaintop with a couple and capture every second of their love for each other.

2/ Catch fresh seafood from the coast

3/ Provide free photography services to someone who cannot afford it in a developing country

4/ Help a small business with photography services

5/ Teach 100 children and young people each year about photography

Accomplish:

1/ 1M followers on Instagram

2/ A solid college fund for my son and any future kids

3/ Gain local and national support for my community outreach program to teach our youth about photography and donate at least five cameras per year to kids who cannot afford them

4/ Finish writing my book

5/ Become fluent in another language

6/ Make veganism my normal diet without extra effort

I’m sure there’s more that I haven’t thought of today. Writing this stuff out helps so much in staying positive and moving forward to reach goals. I encourage you to do the same!
